It took some hours, I don’t know how much because I left it running. Download the ScummVM libretro coreĬd scummvm-master/backends/platform/libretro/build 4. Here are the steps if you want to try it too (I assume you know how to connect to the GameShell through SSH) 1. It should work, but please do tell me if it works, would love the feedback. Here is the compiled file you have to put on you GameShell’s core folder: scummvm-libretro.so. I’m sharing here the compiled core if you want to try and also the steps to compile it yourself, if it doesn’t work for you. Inspired by sbielmann’s advice of trying to compile the 4do-libretro core to see if it works (on this post) and having succeeded at that, I tried the same with scummvm-libretro and it worked! You will not have problem with roms, scans, bios but i am not sure about configs.I have successfully managed to add a valid ScummVM core to RetroArch on the GameShell, seeing that just dowloading it from the RetroArch Cores menu didn’t work. So one runs on the 400 and one on the 3B and I sync the folders? Or are these not compatible between the 3 and the 4? Is it possible to keep the four backup directories (rom, config, bios, scans) of my Pi 3 installation in sync with the 400 because I have two Pi installations and would like to continue using them. With what game do you have issues? If you have the slowdowns with lr-scummvm then yes, this emulator doesn't run some games in full speed, even in Pi 400. That's why I'm considering buying a Pi 400, also because of the form factor and the integrated keyboard. In some games (including ScummVM) I notice that some stutters or videos do not play smoothly. To be sure, i did 2 clean installs with the same result and the most weird is that my older back up don't have this behavior.įunny: The games I installed lr-scummvm for now also run with the new "normal" version :) The only thing that i find strange was that my changes in global mode didn't saved. phew And strange that there is this difference between the Pi 3 and the Pi 4, would that be a case for a bug report? I'm also relieved that I don't have to do a reinstallation, etc. It worked for me too, it's unbelievable that the solution was so "simple". Beneath a Steel said in And suddenly no ScummVM Games are of all, thank you for taking the time and trouble to understand the problem! Looking for a plugin supporting this target. Open GL and SDL Surface are additional options I can select. Seems to be related to your settings - didn't it work at some point, before 'suddenly' not working graphics settings of all games are set to standard. I don't think so, I've run the new version on Pi3/Pi4 and there's nothing inherently broken in that version. Maybe it also has something to do with the new version 2.7 and a downgrade (if possible) would make sense? Hm, I'll check again, but I think this is where all settings are saved for anything related to ScummVM.ĭo you think it makes sense to uninstall and reinstall ScummVM? Since I don't have any log files, further troubleshooting is probably rather difficult. I think there's an option for that when you add the games, not sure if it's enabled by default. You can add the entire scummvm folder and it will be scanned for any game. I think there is no "quick" way to do that, so I have to add every single game via the ScummVM-GUI, right? I thought it would be better to look in the log first than re-add all the games. The full path is /dev/run/runcommand.log. The log appears only after you run an emulator and it's erased on every boot. Said in And suddenly no ScummVM Games are working.:
